Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Aaron and Irene Hannah Mitchell. She attended House of Prayer Church in Starr and was a homemaker.
Surviving are: her son, Ricky (Brittney Davenport) Gambrell of Honea Path; two daughters, Sharon Ann (Steve) Chapman of Honea Path and Lisa (Todd) Hudson of Williamston; two sisters, Faye Davis of Honea Path and Joann McAlister of Donalds; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Gambrell was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, A.C. Mitchell; and a sister, Betty Ables.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Harrell officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.
