Born in Abbeville, she was a daughter of the late Calhoun and Ellen Prince Barrett. She was of the Baptist faith and retired from Greenwood Mills. She was a member of Emerald City Antique Auto Club.
Surviving are; a son, Melvin (Brandy) Davis of Hodges; four grandchildren, Samantha (Matt) Priest, Megan Davis Melissa (Chad) Raines, and Breanna King; five great-grandchildren, Allison Davenport, Jace Priest, Kamaya Brooks, Kindley Raines, and Cash Calhoun Raines; two sisters; Eula (Bill) Morrison of Greenwood and Margaret Hughey of Duluth GA; a daughter-in-law, Melanie Davis; a brother-in-law, Bradley Barrett; special niece, Alice (Mike) Hawthorne; her grand dog, Sadie; and her cat, Pepper.
Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by parents; her husband; a son, Roy Calhoun Davis; her brother; Ben Barrett; and four sisters, June Barrett, Emma Dubois, Ruby Napier and Gloria Barrett.
Graveside services will be held at 11 A. M. Tuesday, January 3, 2022 at Mt Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mark Lowe officiating.
The family is at the home and will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
