Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Willie Preston and Louise Boland Mattison. She was a member of Wilderness Church and was retired Guidance Office Secretary at Ware Shoals High School. She was a 1970 Graduate of Ware Shoals High School and served in the Ware Shoals Gideon Camp. She was a stay at home grandmother for her three grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Paul, of the home, a son, Brad Cathcart (Jennifer) of Ware Shoals, a daughter, Kristi Tucker (John) of Ware Shoals, two brothers, Melvin Mattison (Mary Lou) of Hurricane WV and Billy Mattison (Judy) of Carrolton, GA and a sister, Lillie Ann (Carroll) Hughes of Honea Path, three grandchildren, Masyn Louise Cathcart, Ryne Lee Tucker, and Katherine Elisabeth Tucker.
