Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Lowell and Helen Owens Kelly. He was a member of Barkers Creek Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Kelly retired from Torrington.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 64 years of the home are: his son, Richard Kelly of Honea Path, and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his brother, Leroy Kelly.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Garden of Memories with Rev. Wesley Taylor officiating.
The family is at the home and will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 E. Calhoun St., Anderson SC 29621.
