Margaret Elmore

Honea Path – Margaret Virginia Lollis Elmore, 89, widow of Oscar Eugene Elmore, of Smith Street, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at her home.

 

Born in Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late Willie and Jessie Hall Lollis. Mrs. Elmore was a member of Donalds Church of God for more than 50 years. She attended Crossroads Fellowship Church. She was retired from Third Generation Shirtmakers. She loved attending Senior Solutions.

Surviving are: her son, Robert (Debbie) Elmore of Anderson; five daughters, Virginia (Michael) Merritt of Anderson, Judy Vaughn of Honea Path, Ann (Rickey) Bowie of Honea Path, Sue (Donny) Brock of Due West, and Melissa Smith of Anderson; three brothers, Jimmy (Debra) Lollis of GA, Luther Lollis of Inman, and O. E. Lollis of Honea Path; twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren, and special niece and nephew, Larry and Nancy Stone of Belton.

Mrs. Elmore was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers, Johnny, Jerry, Dennis, Melvin and Clarence Lollis; three sisters, Evelyn Roark, Nellie Campbell and Lois Campbell; a grandchild, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories.
