Deborah Bass

Ware Shoals – Deborah Lynn Latham Bass, 74, wife of Marvin Leo Bass, Jr., of Green Acres Drive, died Sunday, July 23, 2023 at her home.

Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Hoyt James and Ruth Mays Latham. She was a member of the Ware Shoals First Baptist Church and 1969 Graduate of Ware Shoals High School. She was retired from retail sales, where she helped open the Meyers Arnold, was manager of Casual Corner, and cosmetologist at the Clinique Counter of Belk’s all in the Cross Creek Mall and Goodys of Greenwood. She loved and cared for all of her family and friends and enjoyed her flowers, the mountains, and peaceful water

Surviving are her husband, Marvin of the home, a son, Brandon Gates (Michelle) of Ware Shoals, a step-son, Mickey Bass of Augusta, GA, two step-daughters, Stephanie Bass (David) of Edgefield and Leslie Bass(Travis) of Bryson City, NC, three grandchildren, Austin, Wesley, and Kailey, and three great grandchildren, Skyla, Auroa, and Harmony.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 2 PM at the Ware Shoals First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Floyd Parker officiating.

The family is at the home and will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM on Monday at the Ware Shoals First Baptist Church, prior to the service.
