Karen “Smiley” Sellers

Fountain Inn – Karen Lynett “Smiley” Sellers, 51, of Jones Mill Road, passed away peacefully in her home while surrounded by her family on Monday, July 24, 2023 after a valiant battle with cancer.

 

Born in Jacksonville, FL, she was a daughter of Larry and Barbara Kay Jeffers Sellers. She had worked as a trainer for The Walt Disney Company. Smiley really loved and enjoyed her children, grandchildren and “Hawk”. She loved going on trips and adventures year round, especially to the beach or anything to do with the water. One of her most favorite things to do was ride the Harley with “Hawk” and their circle of close friends. Smiley also loved to crochet and try new hobbies. She was TicTok famous with almost 300,000 followers. She was very generous, giving to anyone in need. She loved that her and her mother shared the same birthday and were very close. Smiley leaves a huge void in the lives of anyone that had the honor of knowing her.  

Surviving in addition to her parents of Nicholson GA are: her devoted life companion, James “Hawk” Gibbs of the home; three daughters, Cheyanne Perkins of Marietta GA, Hannah Brookshire (Wayne Rouse) of Royston GA, and Kayla Sellers of Nicholson GA; her step-daughter, Reilly Warren of Myrtle Beach SC; her brother, Perry (Lynn) McAllum of Jefferson GA; her sister, Tina (Chris) Rieke of N. Augusta SC; five grandchildren, Mason, Taylor, Madilyn, Myles James, Cassidy, and 1 on the way; special life long friend, Melanie Kidd of GA; her beloved pets, Sammy and Delilah; and many special aunts, nieces, nephews and friends that she dearly loved.

Memorial services will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, July 30, 2023 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel, Honea Path SC, with Rev. Michael Green and Rev. Robert Burt officiating.

The family is at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1-2 P.M. Sunday at Pruitt Funeral Home, Honea Path SC prior to the service.
