Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph C. and Marion Adams Vaughn. She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church where she was active in the Womans Breakfast Club.
Surviving are three sons, James Roger Hughes of Ware Shoals, Larkin “Sonny” Hughes III of Ware Shoals, and Joseph Craig Hughes of GA, two daughters, Debra Jean Benton and Carolyn Diane Lee (Kenneth) both of Ware Shoals, a brother James “Jimmy: Vaughn of Laurens, a sister, Patricia Ann Church of Greenwood, 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Larkin, and a grandson, Chris Hughes.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 2 P.M. at Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery Rev. Bill Rogers officiating.
The family will be at their respective homes and receive friends in the church social hall immediately after the service.
