Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Roy Clifton and Evelyne Branyon Lindsay. She was of the Baptist faith, and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Ashley is survived by her son Rodney Ashley (Amanda McClain) of Honea Path, her daughter Amanda Bates (Rodney) of Honea Path, her brother Olin Lindsay, six sisters: JoAnn Sellers, Carolyn Ashley, Betty Wilson, June Gambrell, Judy Knight, and Jeanette Reed; five grandchildren: Justin Ashley, Ryan Ashley, Christian Ashley, Colby Bates, and Emma Bates; and three great-grandchildren: Campbell Ashley, Olivia Ashley, and Laken Ashley.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Kimberly Lane Ashley, three brothers: Donald, Ray and David Lindsay; and her sister Marion Banks.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Pruitt Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Ashley officiating.
The family is at their respective homes, and will receive friends Tuesday from 2-3 PM prior to the service at Pruitt Funeral Home.
