Mr. Barnhardt was Born in Concord, NC to the late James Monroe and Josephine Trull Barnhardt. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in Vietnam aboard the USS Independence. He was retired from his work as a mechanic.
He is survived by his son Wayne Allen Barnhardt, Jr. and wife Teresa of Belton, his daughter Tracy Glenn and husband Dusty of Fair Play, as well as five grandchildren: Zach Barnhardt, Christopher Waters, Leah Brandt, Samantha Glenn, and Cody Glenn.
He was preceded in death by four brothers: Jimmy, Bill, Jerry, and Larry Barnhardt.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 10 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Roberts officiating. Private burial at M. J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery will be held at a later date.
The family is at their respective homes, and will receive friends Sunday from 2-3 PM at Pruitt Funeral Home, prior to the service. Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com.
