Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Tyrus and Lula Mae Bell Vaughan. She was a member of Broadmouth Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and served as the church treasurer. She was a devoted Christian and loved her church. Mrs. Davis had formerly worked at Riegel Textile for 20 years, and retired from Frigidaire.
Surviving in addition to her devoted husband of 54 years of the home are: two sons, Paul (Beth) Davis and Mark (Elizabeth) Davis, both of Honea Path; her brother, James Vaughan of Honea Path; three sisters, Mary Vaughan of Anderson, Cathy (Joe) Knight and Linda (Rev. Barry) Garrett, both of Honea Path; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and special caregivers, Toni Terry and Tim Hopkins.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Broadmouth Baptist Church with Rev. Justin Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
