Maureen “Moe” Miner

Honea Path – Maureen “Moe” Elizabeth O’Bryan Miner, 75, of Franklin Street, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

 

Born in Pittsfield, MA, she was a daughter of the late Richard James and Elizabeth Rose Selva O’Bryan. She was of the Baha’i faith and formerly worked at Dollar General. Mrs. Miner was raised in Pompano Beach FL. She also lived in Put-in-Bay OH where her parents owned a boat marina. She moved to SC after marrying Pete Miner. She formerly owned a house cleaning business for many years and was the former co-owner of Pete Miner Fabrication. Her children, family and friends were always near and dear to her heart. She never met a stranger.

Surviving are: her former husband and friend, Jack “Pete” Miner (fiance’ Anysley Edwards) of Belton; her son, Josh (Kreacilla) Miner of Gastonia, NC; her daughter, Jessica (Phillip) Lafon of Gastonia, NC; a sister, Kathleen (Russell) Miller of Groveland, FL; four grandchildren, Caleb Lafon, Elijah Miner, Nicholas Miner, and Kailey Miner; five nephews, Christopher Miller, Jason Miller, Derek O’Bryan, Zach O’Bryan and Jessie King; a niece, Jackie Berard; special cousins, James O’Bryan, Donna Kresiak, Dale Varrenes, and Robbin Karr; mother-in-law, Delores Miner; brother-in-law, Mark (Karen) Miner; sister-in-law, June (Butch) Boitnott; special friends, Janice Edwards, Elise (Charlie) Hind, Janice Cobb, Colleen Lovell, and Helen Bush; and the Baha’i faith community of Anderson County.

Mrs. Miner was preceded in death by her brother, Richard O’Bryan and a sister, Mary O’Bryan.
