Born in Lansing, MI, he was a son of Susan Wood Wirtjes Peterson and the late Wayne Wirtjes. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and worked with Piedmont CMG. Kevin was a classic car enthusiast and proudly owned a 1969 Chevy Camaro.
Surviving are: his mother and step-father, Pete Peterson of TN; his former wife and special devoted friend, Janice Wirtjes of Ware Shoals; his son, Joshua (Jordan) Wirtjes of Ware Shoals; his brother, Chris (Krisie) Wirtjes of OH; his sister, Lori (Craig) Rutledge of MI; and special niece, Alainah Wirtjes of OH.
Graveside services will be held at 3 P.M. Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Greg Nix, Rev. Mike Smith officiating.
The family is at their respective homes and will speak with friends following the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Calvary Baptist Church, PO Box 420, Ware Shoals, SC 29692.
