Born in Hart County GA, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Lela Reece Standard. She was a member of Cross Hill Church of God. Mrs. McCoy retired from Becton-Dickinson of Honea Path. She loved all flowers and enjoyed gardening and playing the guitar.
Surviving are: two sons, Stanley McCoy of Honea Path and Marty (Maggie) McCoy of Jefferson GA; two sisters, Betty McGee of Craytonville and Frances Whitfield of Due West; six grandchildren, Crystal (Jason) McGaha, Trish Galloway, Michelle (Jay) Ferguson, Mark Wofford, Amanda (Tommy) McCollough, and Starr Barclay, twelve great-grandchildren, including Allie McGaha; and special friends and neighbors, Stephen, Kristi, Sadie, and Scarlett Styles.
Mrs. McCoy was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, C.D. “Doc” Standard, Eddie Standard, and Billy Standard; and four sisters, Dollie Garner, Lela May Murphy, Beatrice Minor, and Kathleen Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Cross Hill Church of God with Rev. Larry Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
