Mayme Holland

Ware Shoals – Mayme Hudson Holland, 89, formerly of Buddy Knight Road, widow of Charles Reid Holland, died Tuesday, November 22, 2023 at Self Regional Healthcare, Greenwood.

Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of the late Joe Lee and Mary Elizabeth Gaddis Hudson. She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church and was formerly employed by Tavern Sportswear.

Surviving are two sons, Bruce Holland (Valerie) and Rick Holland (Teresa) both of Ware Shoals, a daughter, Jeannie H. Price (Ray) of Hodges, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was pre deceased by two brothers, Lewis Hudson and Joe Frank Hudson, and two sisters, Myrtle Whitaker and Dot Hodges. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, November 24, 2023 at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel, Ware Shoals with Rev. Donnie Holland officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will be at their respective homes. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM on Friday at Parker-White Funeral Home prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Online condolences may be made at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com
