Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late John Wesley and Nancy Ashley Smith. He was of the Baptist faith. Ricky was a devoted Gamecock fan and loved music, especially The Beatles. He dearly loved his family.
Ricky is survived by his sister and her husband, Sandy and John Ross of Anderson, a niece and two nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, December 22, 2023 at Eastview Cemetery with Rev. Mark Thomas officiating.
The family will speak with friends immediately following the service at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to Chiquola Baptist Church Building Fund, 405 East Greer Steet, Honea Path SC 29654.
