Born in Calhoun Falls, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Pauline Parnell Waters. She was of the Baptist faith. She was employed by Riegel Textile prior to her disability. She loved to make quilts and shared many of them with her family and friends. She also loved auctions, the outdoors, and yard sales.
Surviving are a son, Thomas Haynes (Tracy) of Honea Path, a sister, Mary Ellen “Peggy” Roper of Murrayville, GA, and her adopted grandchildren, Hilary Tanner, Jackson Warlick, and Paisley Warlick.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Roy, two sons, Charles Ray Haynes and Mark Aiken Haynes and three sisters, Georgia Irene Haggerty, Dorothy Ann Burkhalter, and Myrtle Frances Pless.
Funeral services will be held at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, December 26, at 1 PM with Rev. Paul Cullum officiating. Burial will be private.
