Born in Anderson, he was a son of the late Jerry and Wilma Jean Davis Phillips. He was of the Baptist Faith. An avid Clemson Fan, he was employed by Rino Security of Seneca and worked all the Clemson Sporting Events. He graduated from BHP High in 1987 and received a BS from Clemson University in 1997.
Surviving are a son Josh Phillips of St. Louis, MO, two daughters, Lauren Hodge (Kent) of Anderson and Hanna Phillips of Greenville, a brother, James Houston Phillips (Angie) of Piedmont, maternal grandmother, Katie Davis, aunts and uncles, Ralph Phillips (Mary), Ronnie Phillips (Becky), Charlotte Robinson, Nancy Stone (Steven), Johnny Davis (Anne), Don Davis (Patricia) and Linda Garner. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Jerry Christopher Phillips.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel, Honea Path with Rev. Keith Crocker officiating. Burial will follow in Columbia Baptist Church Cemetery.
