Robbie Ann was born in Honea Path on May 1, 1933 to the late Robert and Lola McMillan Cothran. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and worked with the Senior Citizens Group. A graduate of Honea Path High School, Class of 1951, Robbie Ann worked at Honea Path Shirtmakers and retired from The Torrington Company. She was a Clemson Tiger fan and loved the QVC shopping network.
Robbie Ann and Aaron were married on November 2, 1952 in the Shady Grove Baptist Church parsonage.
She is survived by her husband Aaron of the home, a son, Senator Mike Gambrell (Reene) of Honea Path, several beloved nieces and nephews, and numerous friends. In addition to her parents she was pre-deceased by two brothers, Cary Cothran and Ralph Cothran, and three sisters, Sara Tumblin, Ollie Phillips, and Ruby Bozard.
Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel, Honea Path, with Rev. Dale Phillips and Dr. Ron Culbertson officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories, Belton.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 PM Sunday at Pruitt Funeral Home prior to the service. Memorial donations in Robbie Ann’s memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Online condolences may be left at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com.
