Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late James D. and Mary Elizabeth Poore Satterfield. He was member of Barkers Creek Baptist Church and retired from Belton Middle School. Delbert had formerly worked at Chiquola Mill until its closing.
Surviving are: three brothers, Dennis (Kathy) Satterfield of Anderson, James (Linda) Satterfield and Tony (Elizabeth) Satterfield, both of Honea Path; several nieces and nephews that he loved; and his beloved cats, Daisy and Sally.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Sammy Satterfield; and his sister, Dorothy Jean Satterfield.
Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Barkers Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Wesley Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
