Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Arthur James and Savannah Treadwell Martin. She was of the Baptist Faith. A 1972 Graduate of Ware Shoals High School, she had worked as a CNA.
Surviving are a sister, Lynette Hughes (Jason) of Honea Path, two grandchildren, Sarah McKenzie Hughes and Andrew Xavier Hughes, and a great grandson, Trenton Christopher Hughes.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a son, James Christopher Hughes and two brothers, Kenneth and James Martin.
