Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Jim and Elase Nelson Brock. He was a dedicated member of Winona Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon, Treasurer and member of the cemetery committee. George retired from the Abbeville Housing Authority after 30 years of service. He loved his church, fishing, attending car shows and above all, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 56 years are: a son, Barry (Shannon) Brock of Antreville; his brother, Jimmy (Judy) Brock of Ware Shoals; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Jay) Blackman and Kelsey Brock; three great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Savannah and Peyton; special cousin, Harold Purdy; and special friend, Major Smith.
George was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Brian Keith Brock.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Winona Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Cooley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home and will receive friends from 1-2 P.M. Wednesday at the church prior to the service.
