Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Elbert Lee and Margaret Strawhorn Medlock. He was a member of Columbia Baptist Church. He was retired from Cryovac of Simpsonville after 46 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Vietnam War, and was an avid Atlanta Braves and USC fan.
Surviving are his wife, Janice, of the home, a son, Danny Ray Medlock (Angel) of Virginia Beach, VA, a daughter, Stephanie Lynn Medlock of Princeton, a brother Edward Medlock of Simpsonville, three sisters, Frances Gambrell of Anderson, Bobbie Coker (Alton) of Belton, and Brenda Bryant of Piedmont, and a granddaughter, Amber Medlock. In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by a sister, Betty Wells.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Parker-White Funeral Home Chapel, Ware Shoals with Rev. Andy Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM on Monday at Parker-White Funeral Home prior to the service.
