Born in Los Angeles, California, he was an industrial mechanic for 56 years and retired from Diversified Coating Systems. He served two active duty enlistments in the U. S. Army and was a Vietnam Era Veteran and a post Vietnam Era Veteran. He was also an avid hunter.
He is survived by his mother, Ethel Davis of Pelzer, a son, Joshua Browning of Pelzer, a daughter: Elizabeth Ann Browning Berryman (Wesley) of Lyman; two brothers, Randy Browning (Becky) of Oklahoma and Gary Davis of Easley; two sisters, Lisa Webb (Dean) of Pelzer and Deana Conway (Lee) of Piedmont; five grandchildren, Kali Aljoe, Nathan Browning, Jayden Browning, Skyler Browning and Noah Browning; a great-grandchild, Elliot May Browning. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by a sister, Cindy.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel, Honea Path, with Rev. Reco Wideman officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery, Anderson.
