Born in Williamston, SC he was the son of the late Charlie William and Maybell Fields Elgin. He was a longtime member of Carswell Baptist Church and retired from Duke Energy and the City of Anderson.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 68 years of the home are: his son, Charles Michael (Vicki) Elgin of Anderson; and his nephew, Ronnie (Connie) King of Belton.
Mr. Elgin was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Joyce King; his niece, Diane King Bolt and her husband Charles Bolt.
Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday April 1, 2026 at Garden of Memories with Rev. Hudson White officiating.
