Born in Anderson, he was a son of the late Homer and Frances Jane Seawright McGaha. He attended Winona Baptist Church and was retired from his work as a Carpenter for Chiquola Mills. He loved hunting, fishing, drawing, playing the guitar and playing chess.
Shawn is survived by two brothers: Daniel McGaha of Honea Path and John McGaha (Katherine) of Anderson; four sisters: Jane McGaha (Marion) of Honea Path, Patti McGaha (Giovanni) of Due West, Tammy Willis (Ricky) of Greenwood and Michelle Hogg (Phillip) of Honea Path; and several nieces and nephews.
