Born in Decatur, GA he was a son of William Earl Higgins, Sr. of Hodges, and the late Jane Earline Youngblood Higgins. He was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church and attended Radiant Life Church of the Nazarene of Pelzer. He was a graduate of Ware Shoals High School, Class of 1988. He worked in the maintenance department of Leath Correctional Institution.
Surviving are his wife, Crystal of the home, a daughter, Makenzie Higgins, a brother, Rev. William Earl Higgins, Jr. (Diane) of Honea Path, three sisters, Mary Lee Phillips (Terry) of Honea Path, Barbara Ann Butler (Billy) of Hodges, Kimberly Denise Graham (Ronnie) of Hodges, and two grandchildren, Landon and Benton Higgins.
He was predeceased by his mother Jane, and a sister, Betty Faye Shirley.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 19, 2026 at 2 PM at Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Hodges with Rev. Bill Higgins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home of his sister, Mrs. Barbara Butler, 4611 Hwy 246 North, Hodges, and will receive frinds from 1 to 2 PM Friday at Walnut Grove Baptist Church prior to the service. Online condolences may be made at www.ParkerWhitePruitt.com
