Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Plumer Thomas Craft Sr. and Kathleen Webb Craft. He was twice married, first to the late June C. Craft. He was a member of Barkers Creek Baptist Church, and was retired from his work as a supervisor in the cutting department of Rice Mills, after 45 years of service. He also served in the SC Army Reserve National Guard. After retirement, he loved working in his woodshop, fishing on lake Hartwell, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Craft is survived by his two sons: Lester Thomas Craft (Lisa) of Anderson and Kevin Thomas Craft (Mandy) of Belton; his daughter Dana Boggs (Tommy) of Honea Path; six grandchildren: Joshua Blake Fortner (Amy), Ashley Blair Fortner (Donald) Carolyn Girone (Zach), Anna Hart (Sloan), Ross Craft (Samantha) and Shana McGuirt; and seven great-grandchildren: Bentley Payne, Kane Cobb, Sammy Strickland, Zander Craft, Azilee Fortner, Harper Girone and Zoe Craft.

He was preceded in death by his son Samuel Shane McGuirt.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 9 2026 at Barkers Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Wesley Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories.

The family is at the home, and will receive friends from 1-2 PM Thursday at Barkers Creek Baptist Church, prior to the service.
