Born in Elizabethton, TN, he was a son of the late Jake and Della Greer Miller. He was a member of Dorchester Baptist Church and retired as MSGT from the U.S. Air Force and later from Bill’s Buildings of Belton.
Bill enlisted into the US Air Force in May of 1951 and served until May of 1975 and was a Korean Conflict Veteran.
Surviving are a son, Billy David Miller and fiancé, Elaine Barbrey, of Fountain Inn, a sister, Mary Alice Crumbley of Elizabethton, TN, a grandson, Luke Matthew Miller ( Delana) and a granddaughter, Charlotte Evangelina Mateo Hawley Miller, and a former daughter-in-law, Ann Bramlett.
In addition to his parents and wife Ruby, he was predeceased by two brothers, Johnny Miller and Gail Miller, and a granddaughter, Anna Hope Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel, Honea Path with full military honors. Burial will follow at a later date at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends from 11 to 12 noon on Tuesday at Pruitt Funeral Home prior to the service.
