Ware Shoals – Earl Walker, 80, husband of Dorothy Woods Walker died Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Richard Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson.

Born in Union County, he was a son of the late Filmore T. and Susie Gregory Walker. He was of the Baptist Faith, a veteran of the U.S. Army, World War II, and was retired from South Carolina Electric and Gas Co.

Surviving are his wife of Magnolia Manor, Greenwood, one son, Billy Earl Walker of Ware Shoals, one brother, Acy W. Walker of Union, two grandchildren, Amy W. Peeler and Tara W. Childress, and three great-grandchildren, Seth Walker Childress, William D. Peeler II, and Graham Walker Peeler.

Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. Tuesday at Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dwaine Stanley officiating.

The family is at the home of a granddaughter, Amy Peeler, 104A Green Acres Drive, Ware Shoals.
