Frances Thomson

Honea Path – Frances Isabelle Creswell Thomson, 92, widow of Joseph Guy Thomson, of 110 Arkansas St., died Friday, March 27, 2009 at AnMed Health Care Center.

Born in Bradley, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Perrin and Isabelle Creswell. She was a member of Chiquola Baptist Church, where the served at department secretary for the Junior Department for 18 years, a member of the Pastor’s Sunday School Class, and was a Bible Readers Leader for Davis Training Union Department. She was retired from the Essex Plant.

Surviving members of her immediate family are nieces and nephews, Ann Fairey of North, Frankie Rickenbaker of Greenwood, John T. Rickenbaker of Little River, and other nieces and nephews, Josephine Ridlehoover and Craig Creswell of Bradley, Hal Creswell of Verdery, Dick Creswell of Greenwood, and Harriett Jenkins of Ridgeland. She is also survived by numerous great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was pre-deceased by a son, Robert Guy Thomson, a brother, Bryson Creswell, sisters, Betty Ausmus, Lula Rickenbaker, Lavania Carter, Sara Creswell, Margaret Jane Langford, and Louise McKenzie, and nieces and nephews, Tommy Creswell, Charles McKenzie, and. Margaret Guy.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Monday at Chiquola Baptist Church with Rev. Brad Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM on Sunday at Pruitt Funeral Home. The family will be at their respective homes. Memorials may be made to Chiquola Baptist Church, 405 East Greer St., Honea Path, SC 29654. Online condolences may be made at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com.
