Casper “Cap” Poore

Honea Path – Casper “Cap” Newton Poore, 86, widower of Nora Willard Poore, of 303 Lola Lane, died Friday at AnMed Health Center in Anderson.

Born in Anderson County he was a son of the late Jesse E. and Hattie Chasteen Poore. He was a member of the Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, World War II. He was the former owner and operator of Poore’s Garage.

Surviving are a sister, Sue Poore Butler of Ware Shoals and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by four brothers, Holland Poore, Francis Poore, Woodrow Poore, and Gaston Poore.

Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. Sunday at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ted Coody officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.

The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 P.M. Sunday at Pruitt Funeral Home prior to the service. The family will be at their respective homes. Online condolences may be made at www.parkerwhitepruitt.com Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
