Honea Path – Joyce Ann Strickland Carver, 52 of 103 Heyward Ave., widow of Robert Carver died Saturday at Rainey Hospice House.

Born in Belton, she was a daughter of Mary Lou Strickland Johnston of Princeton and the late Joe Vernon “Jake” Strickland. She was a member of Donalds Church of God and a bus driver for Anderson School District 2.

Surviving are her mother of Princeton; a special son, Jimmy Nelson of Honea Path; step-daughter; Brandy Carver Cleveland of Anderson; a brother, Bobby “Strick” Strickland and wife Ethel of Anderson; two sisters, Brenda Nelson of Honea Path and Elaine Buchanan of Anderson; two grandchildren; Samuel Cleveland and Dawson Hennis; a special nephew, Bobby Strickland, Jr., and a very special great-niece, Brittany Strickland.

Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday at Donalds Church of God with Rev. James Ray Lollis and Rev. Jackie Brady officiating. The body will be placed in the church at
1 PM Tuesday. Burial will follow in Townville Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 PM at Pruitt Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson SC 29621.
