Honea Path – Mr. Carl Edward King, Sr., 76, of 112 West Greer Street, husband of Anita Bullard King, died Friday, December 4, 2009 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood.

Born in Morganton, N.C., he was a son of the late Paul D. and Louvenia Cook Dickerson. He was retired from Chiquola Manufacturing Company and was of the Presbyterian Faith and a veteran in the US Army, Korean War.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are: one son, Carl Edward King, Jr. of Belton; five daughters, Donna Gail King of Garberville, Ca., Myra Dawn King of Belton, Tonya Nichole McCullough of Honea Path, Sherry Lynn Lollis and Tish King of the home; a grandson raised in the home, Trey Buchanan; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Harold R. King and a great-grandson, Evan Glen Davis.

Graveside service will be held 2:30 P.M. Monday at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Justin Phillips and Stan Campbell officiating.
