Ware Shoals – Telar Powell Gilmer, 95, widow of Dean Presley Gilmer, of Green Acres Drive, died Sunday March 3, 2024 at Ashley Square in Greenwood.

Honea Path – Stanley Williams, 76, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Callie and John Rainey Hospice House.

Ware Shoals – Deborah Jean Strickland Johnson, 62, of Dairy Street, died on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at NHC of Clinton.

Honea Path – Sheila Renee Johnson Todd, 55, widow of the late Robert “Slick” Todd, of Blue Willow Circle, died Monday, February 26, 2024 at her home.

Honea Path – Nancy Lulabelle Brock Gambrell, 80, widow of the late Marvin Gambrell, formerly of Honea Path, died Monday, February 26, 2024 at McCormick Acute Care.

Anderson - Janice Marlene Corn, 73, wife of John W. Corn, passed away on Monday, February 26 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.

Princeton – John Michael Phillips, 55, of Highway 76, died Sunday, February 25, 2024.

Honea Path – Marilyn Elaine Turner Campbell, 70, wife of Jimmy Ray Campbell, of Mt Bethel School Road, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Callie and John Rainey Hospice House.

Ware Shoals - Betty Jean Sharpe Boggs, widow of Clarence L. Boggs of Ware Shoals died Wednesday, February 14 at Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont in Greenwood.

 Born in Ware Shoals, she was a daughter of the late Frank Pressley and Cleo Wells Sharp. She was a faithful member of Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church, and was retired from her work in manufacturing, having worked most recently at Becton, Dickenson & Co., and Richloom.

Mrs. Boggs is survived by her daughter Debbie Boggs of Ware Shoals, her brother-in-law Cecil Boggs, her sister-in-law Virginia Boggs and her special friend Henrietta Baker.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Michael Frank Sharpe.

Funeral services will be held at 2PM on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Ware Shoals Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Anthony Irby and Rev. Mac Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
