Charlie Hendricks
Greenville – Charlie Edwin Hendricks, 64, husband of Sue Gudshall Hendricks, of 26 Primrose Lane, died Thursday July 7, 2011 at Greer Memorial Hospital.
Born in Ware Shoals, he was the son of the late J. S. “Doc” and Corine Gambrell Hendricks. He was a member of Overbrook Baptist Church in Greenville and previously served in the S. C. Army National Guard. He was a member of the Walden Lodge # 274 A. F. M. where he had served twice as Past Master and was a Shriner. He was retired from L. R. Gorrell Company.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are two sons: Chad Hendricks of Greenville, Todd Hendricks and wife, Tara Leigh of Livermore, CA; four grandchildren, Peyton, Laney, Katelyn and Nyah Hendricks.
Funeral services will be 2PM Monday at Parker-White Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Sutton officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30-2PM prior to the service. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites. The family is at the home until Sunday, when they will be at 15167 Indian Mound Road Ware Shoals, SC. Surviving are: one son, Scott Haynes of the home; one brother, Howard Weathers and wife Bernice of Belton; two sisters, Allie Mae Campbell of Laurens and Agnes Abercrombie of Fountain Inn; three special nieces, Patricia Nelson, Sandra Wilson and Jackie Weathers and a special friend, Bobby Ashley.
She was predeceased by four brothers, Arthur Lee Weathers and Robert Weathers of Waterloo, Paul Weathers of Ware Shoals, Vernon Weathers of Fountain Inn; three sisters, Margaret Vaughn of Anderson, Ruby Calvert of Honea Path, and Alice Masters of Spartanburg.
Funeral Services will be held at 3pm Sunday at Broadmouth Baptist with Rev. Justin Phillips officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1PM. The family will receive friends at the church from 2-3PM. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories.
