George Dennis Sims, 78, of Simpsonville, SC, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Ware Shoals – Michael “Mike” Bishop Elledge, 66, of Poplar Springs Road, died Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at his home.

Born in Laurens, he was a son of Sue Bishop Elledge and the late Ryland Lamar Elledge. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and attended Ware Shoals High School.

Surviving are his mother, Sue, of the home, a brother, Marion Elledge (Roger) of Mobile, AL., a sister Millie Tatham of Ware Shoals, a niece, Abby Tatham of Ware Shoals, and a nephew Luke Tatham (Anna) of Ware Shoals.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop.

The family will be at their respective homes and will speak to friends at the cemetery after the graveside service. The family requests that flowers be omitted and donations sent to the Mental Health/Suicide Awareness, Humane Society, or cancer society of one’s choice. Honea Path – Rebecca “Becky” Joanne Ashley Black, 78, wife of Donald Douglas Black, of Friendship Church Road, passed away Tuesday August 12, 2025 at her home.

Jeremiah Albert “Jerry” Kay, age 90, passed away at his home in Atlanta on 19 September, 2024.

Honea Path – David Alvin Stallings, 77, husband of Ruby Jean Robinson Stallings, of Flat Rock Road, died Saturday August 9, 2025 at his home.

Boiling Springs – John Robert ‘Bob” Crawford, 63, husband of Kelly Jean O’Shields Crawford, of Thistle Court, formerly of Ware Shoals, died Sunday August 3, 2025.

Honea Path – Rylan Anthony Smith, 16, of Sherwood Avenue, departed this life on July 30, 2025.

Kathy Seawright, 75, was called home to heaven on Thursday, July 31st. She passed peacefully at her home in Donalds, South Carolina, comforted in presence of her loving family. While she will continue to be loved and missed by many, we can rejoice that she is at everlasting peace in the presence of the Lord.

Waterloo – Robert Michael Hysell (Mickey), 60, born in Columbus, Ohio January 2^nd, 1965 died at his home in Waterloo SC surrounded by his loving siblings on July 25^th, 2025.
